Ever pleased with everything from the start till the end!! Very pleasant people. Rooms were just what I expected. The best cleaned rooms I have seen in forever. Will definitely be back if I am here. Restaurant close stores and gas near by.
Absolutely love this place, second stay here. It serves a convenient and affordable purpose while maintaining UP charm. Updated room or not, Griswold’s is a gem and Christine at the desk is top tier!!
Room was great and comfortable. Location was wonderful. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The manager went above and beyond, which was very much appreciated. Would absolutely stay here again if ever in the area again! Price is very reasonable. My only “complaint” was that there was no coffee maker in the room. But there’s a restaurant and gas station both less than a block away that serve coffee in the morning, so not a huge deal.
This is a hidden gem in Michigan's U.P. Great reasonable hotel. We arrived late and were able to communicate by text. Check in was very easy with a door code. Rooms were clean and newly remodeled. Will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
Perfect place to stay for those exploring the Michigan coast. Rooms are a bit small but the host is great and several places to eat/drink near by. Ontonagon is a quaint little town and Griswold's is a quaint place to stay while you explore the Porky's and the rest of the UP.
For the quality of the room and the price this is a great place and on top of it its location I think is great for snowmobiling. I can ride to copper harbor and back in a day and also ride the lake of the clouds/porcupine mountain loops combined with heading into Bruce crossing in a single day. Haven’t done the trip with ATV/utvs yet but I’m hoping to this summer.
Best place to stay in town! Clean room, comfortable bed, and a very reasonable price. Staff was courteous and friendly. Accommodations were newly renovated too. Great find! Can't wait to come back.
We enjoyed our stay at Griswold’s Lodge. The rooms were very clean and tastefully designed. The location was excellent being able to walk to the beach and local restaurants as well as a quick drive to explore the Porcupine Mountains. The Owner was friendly and helpful.
